Command Post Vehicle

The Command Post Vehicle is a fully enclosed metallic container mounted on a BEML High Mobility Vehicle (HMV) T-815 27 ER 96 28 300 8×8 1R/50T(Euro-II) vehicle. Command Post Vehicle is authorized to Reconnaissance and Support Battalions of Mechanised Infantry for controlling the surveillance grid, collection of surveillance inputs from radars, collation of data and its dissemination. The Command Post vehicle will be required to operation along with Mechanised Forces and therefore needs to combine essential operational requisites of mobility, protection and communication.

BEML HMV RR 4x4

BEML HMV RR 4×4 high mobility vehicle is used for GS role in Indian Army. This is an all terrain vehicle intended for transport of personnel and having a carrying capacity of 8500 kg on road & 5000 kg in off-road conditions. The 10 speed gear box is of synchromesh type except for first and reverse speeds.

BEML HMV RR 6x6 (RHD)

BEML HMV RR 6×6 (RHD) high mobility vehicle is used for GS role in Indian Army. This is an all terrain vehicle intended for transport of personnel and is having a payload capacity of 10500 kgs. The vehicle is used for towing trailers on public roads upto 65,000 kgs and in off road conditions trailer weighing upto 16,000 kgs. The equipment is provided with a winch for self recovery and recovery of other vehicles.

Also the vehicle is provided with centralized tyre inflation system inside the cabin which enables inflation / deflation of tyres depending on terrain conditions.

BEML HMV ER 8x8 Vehicle

BEML HMV ER 8×8 is an all terrain vehicle used for mounting superstructures such as RADAR systems, Bridge laying system in Indian Army.

The vehicle is also used for transport of personnel and is having a payload capacity of 12000 kg. The vehicle is used for towing trailers on public roads upto 65,000 kg and in off road conditions trailer weighing upto 16000 kg. The equipment is provided with a winch for self- recovery and recovery of other vehicles.

BEML HMV ET 8x8 - Tank Transporter

BEML HMV ET 8×8 is an all terrain vehicle mainly used for tank transporter role in Indian Army. The vehicle is also used for transport of personnel and is having a payload capacity of 11750 kg. The vehicle is used for towing trailers on public roads up to 1,00,000 kg and in off road conditions trailer weighing up to 25000 kg.

The equipment is provided with a winch for self recovery and loading of dead tanks on to the trailer. Also the vehicle is provided with centralized tyre inflation / deflation system inside the cabin which enables inflation / deflation of tyres depending on terrain conditions.

BEML HMV ER (L) 8x8 Vehicle

BEML HMV ER (L) 8×8 is an all terrain vehicle with a long wheel base which is specially designed for longer superstructures. The vehicle is having payload capacity of 16000 kg.

The vehicle is provided with centralized tyre inflation system inside the cabin which enables inflation / deflation of tyres depending on terrain conditions.

BEML HMV 10x10 Vehicle

BEML HMV 10×10 is an all terrain vehicle used for hauling long loads such as missile transportation for Indian army with payload capacity of 19900 Kg. The equipment is provided with hydraulically operated self- recovery winch and Air-conditioned cabin and ABS system. The vehicle is equipped with centralized tyre inflation system inside the cabin operated on the move.

BEML HMV 12x12 Vehicle

BEML HMV 12×12 is a seven speed automatic transmission, all terrain vehicle used for hauling long loads such as missile transportation for. Indian army with payload capacity of 33,100 Kg. The equipment is provided with hydraulically operated self recovery winch and Air-conditioned cabin and ABS system. The vehicle is equipped with centralized tyre inflation system inside the cabin operated on the move.

Sarvatra

Bridge System

SARVATRA is the longest multi-span mobile bridge. With individual spans of 15m, this equipment can bridge wet and dry gaps upto 75m. SARVATRA is designed for MLC-70 load class, capable of negotiation of all vehicles including MBT ARJUN.

SARVATRA offers versatile bridging solutions and can therefore be used for variety of applications.

Pinaka Launchers

The PINAKA multi barrel rocket launching system is all weather, indirect fire, free flight artillery rocket system. It delivers accurate and massive fire power at a high rate over extended ranges. A battery of 6 launchers can fire a salvo of 72 rockets in 44 seconds. Over 7.2 tones of payload in the form of lethal warheads can be delivered upto a range of 38 kms and can effectively neutralize a target area of 1000 mm x 800 mm. The complete system comprises the following:

    • Loader cum Replenishment Vehicle 
    • Replenishment Vehicle
    • Launcher Vehicle
    • Command Post
  • Apart from the above, the system comprises of Fire Direction Radar (FDR), DIGICORA MET Radar, Fire control computer (FCC) and Rocket system with various war heads and fuses. The basic chassis used for the above is BEML-TATRA 27ER96 28 300 8×8.1R/50T.
  • The truck mounted crane is used for loading / unloading of various members both at launching as well as in the maintenance work shops.
Heavy Recovery Vehicle (HRV)

HRV AV 15 vehicle is designed to recover stuck-up, buried or overturned causalities of armored or engineering vehicles. This has a recovery crane with lifting capacity of 15 tons @ 2m radius with stabilizers. The recovery winch has a pull of 15 tons for effective length of 150m. This vehicle is provided with all wheel drive for maximum traction, swinging half axles for better cross country mobility, centralized tyre inflation, deflation system, self recovery from front and rear, light dozing upto 250mm with dozer attachment. Cutting and Welding Equipment is provided for emergency use. It can tow rigid and suspended upto 11 tons, tow trailers upto 15 tons in cross country and 65 tons on highways.

Pontoon Bridge System

The Pontoon Bridge Set is used by Army to transport military vehicles over water obstacles and marshy grounds.

It consists of various members like mid-stream & shore for assembling a bridge over water obstacles. These members are loaded on BEML Tatra vehicles thereby allowing for easy transportation of the equipment. The set is fully equipped for unloading / loading of the members and formation of the bridge within a short span of time. The maximum load carrying capacity of the bridge is 60 tonnes.

Mid-stream members are joined together to form the floating bridge. Shore members are connected to the mid-stream members & serve as the transition section between the floating part and the bank. Motor Tug launchers are also provided with each set to enable connection of the Mid-stream members in the water.

The bulldozer attachment fitted on the road laying truck is used for creating approached road, removal of obstacles etc. road laying members are used for consolidating on the soft soil terrain. Ferries can also be constructed by using Mid-stream & Shore members.

The ferry can carry individual loads from one bank to another with the boats pushing it. The boat loaded on the dolly is towed by a BEML-Tatra vehicle. Dolly is equipped with the system for launching the boat as well as loading the boat back. The boat is used for pushing / towing the pontoon members for the bridge construction as well as for pushing the ferry.

Ejector

These are required for air intake system of infantry combat vehicles and are made of special aluminum alloy.

The ejector is intended to create a flow of cooling air through the radiators, by means of utilizing the energy of the engine exhaust gases.
