Shri Debi Prasad Satpathy renowned for his distinguished career spanning over three decades in the industry, has recently taken charge as Director (Human Resource) at BEML Ltd, Bangalore.
Mr. Satpathy a seasoned industry professional joined BEML Ltd in 2011 and again rejoined in 2018, brings with his more than three decades of rich and varied experience in various facets of Human resources functions.
His remarkable career started at Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd in 1992, followed by BEML Ltd from 2011 to till now. In between, during 2017-2018 he has worked as General Manager (Personnel) at Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd.
Shri Debi Prasad Satpathy is holding a degree of BSc and a professional with a Postgraduate Degree in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from Berhampur University, Odisha.
Prior to his appointment as Director (HR), he was serving as Executive Director (HR) at the Company’s Corporate Office.
Starting from his career as an Executive Trainee to become a Director (HR), is a testament to his exceptional leadership and dedication. It marks a significant milestone in his journey, underscoring his unwavering commitment and profound expertise in the field.
His vast and varied experience has laid foundation for his deep understanding in Human Resource Development for over 32 years in both Central and State Government sectors with wide exposure in all aspects of Managing Human resources, Contract Labor affairs, Industrial Relations, Recruitment, Learning and Development, Succession Planning and system Management besides his recognition as a “Labor Law Expert”. He has played a pivotal role in negotiating wage revisions and various long-term settlements with unions.
He is known for his Employee-Centric Approach and formulated several strategic initiatives for the company as well as the industry.
He has pioneered a wide ORACLE ERP solution in HR at Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd and his active contributions in the introduction of SAP HCM modules and the development of tailor-made IT modules for HR Process at BEML Ltd. which enriched the HR practices and Organizational Growth.
He has also led various strategic HR initiatives like revisiting HR policies and practices to keep the organization workforce progressive, with special focus on diversity, inclusion and well-being.
